Contacting sellers
You may contact sellers from within each of their listings, by using the link titled "Send Email". We ask that you contact only those ads that you are seriously interested in purchasing. You should not contact sellers to ask for general advice or to open a discussion. There are many other venues that are more appropriate for engaging fellow hobbyists in a discussion. Please limit your contacts to the specific purpose of buying or selling quality audio video equipment.
Making offers
Make offers to purchase items only if you are ready and able to conduct the transaction. If you make an offer, be prepared to complete the transaction as per your offer. Our guidelines stipulate that an offer should be good for at least 48 hours. If an offer is accepted within this time period, you are expected to complete the transaction. Thus, be very careful when making multiple offers for a similar item from multiple sellers. We recommend that you first inquire with each seller of interest, and choose one to whom you will make your first offer.
Bidding at Auction
You may bid on auctions only if you are ready and able to purchase the item for your bid price. If you submit an offer, be prepared to complete the transaction at close of auction. You may NOT retract bids once you have submitted them. We recommend that you ask any questions of the seller BEFORE placing bids. Please be aware that in most states, it against the law to submit a bid at auction unless you purchase the item.
Sending payment
Please be aware that neither nor FloridaSportsman are offering any assurance of a satisfactory transaction. All participation and purchases are strictly on a 'buyer beware' basis. Our recommendations include:
Always speak over the phone before making any commitments.
Ask all relevant questions before making a commitment.
Follow up an oral agreement with an email, specifying amounts, dates, etc.
Use an online escrow service such as www.tradesafe.com to safeguard the funds.
